Creating a celestial atmosphere in art. If you look at our sky at night, you’ll notice it’s not just black and white—there’s color. I challenge you to search Hubble Images, and study the color variations inside nebulas, galaxies, planets, stars, etc. When you paint them, I start with a dried base of light or dark, then make a transparent mix with (neon magenta 1/3 to 2/3 dark magenta, 2/3 Golden gel medium), heavy on the gel, you want transparency. Cover the white dot and with yoyr finger, pull the pant outward.
